What we do...
The Public Works Department involves many divisions with many sections within these divisions. The employees in the administration group consist of the Director of Public Works/County Engineer, Assistant Director of Public Works, Assistant County Engineer, three (3) Engineering Technicians, Office Manager, Tech Assistant/Training Coordinator, six (6) Administrative support staff and two (2) Engineering Interns.

These employees provide the necessary planning, direction and oversight for the following divisions:

  • Auto Cad drafting
  • providing assistance to Townships
  • construction and inspection of projects
  • maintenance and repairs associated with gravel and paved roads along with bridges and box culverts
  • installation and maintenance of traffic signs
  • traffic studies
  • safety and training programs
  • maintenance of county vehicles and equipment
  • customer relations
  • accounting
  • data entry
  • resource allocation
  • asset management
  • recycling and disposal of municipal solid waste
  • historical record preservation
  • facilities repairs & maintenance
  • custodial activities
  • management of sewer, water and pavement benefit districts
