Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Services

WIC is a nutritional program for pregnant and postpartum women, infants and children up to age five who are determined to be at a nutritional risk and meet income guidelines.

WIC's goal is to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women, new moms and kids under five healthy.  To do this, WIC provides:

  • Personalized nutrition information and support
  • Checks to buy healthy foods
  • Tips for eating well to improve health
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Referrals for services that can benefit the whole family
WIC income eligibility guidelines are:
  • $29,637 annually for a household of two
  • $37,296 annually for a household of three
  • $44,955 annually for a household of four
  • $52,614 annually for a household of five

We staff a full-time clinic in Manhattan at the Family and Child Resource Center, 2101 Claflin Road, 785-776-4779 ext. 7661

WIC staff also conduct mobile WIC sites at the following locations:

  • Wamego in the First Baptist Church, 1911 Grandview Drive        
  • Ogden in the Ogden Community Center, 220 Willow Street
