A conditional use is a use that, because of special requirements or characteristics, may be allowed in a particular zoning district, following a review by the Riley County Board of Zoning Appeals. In the process of approving a conditional use, the Board may impose such conditions as are necessary to make the use compatible with other uses permitted in the same zone or in the surrounding area.  More information can be found in the Guide to Conditional Uses and the Riley County Zoning Regulations.
